This Domestic Violence Awareness Training is approved by the Maryland Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists and fulfills the training requirement established under HB 1547.

This required  1-hour training equips barbers and cosmetologists with practical, trauma-informed skills to recognize signs of domestic violence, communicate safely and supportively with clients, and connect individuals to appropriate resources.

 Participants may complete the training in either an on-demand online format or through a live virtual session.
